Stereoviewer Overview

Stereoviewer is an imaging software that reproduces the natural process of visualizing in 3D. It allows two views of a scene to be loaded, one for the left eye, one for the right so that objects appear to have actual depth, especially with respect to each other.

Installing Stereoviewer

Stereoviewer installation files are stored in a zip file for Windows. Once downloaded, double click and extract the files to a folder.  From the extracted files, double click on the Setup.exe to install the program. The installation will place a Stereoviewer icon on your desktop and it will add Stereoviewer to your Programs file group. (Please note: if you do not wish to install the program and its DLLs, you can run the program by double clicking the StereoViewer_v12.exe in the extracted file folder.)

Running Stereoviewer

When you launch Stereoviewer, this is the opening screen. Using the right mouse button, click for menu options pictured below on the pop-up menu. Use arrow keys to align images.

Keys for common tasks:

a = red/cyan on/off

r = rotate additional 90 degrees

f = full screen on/off

s = save the left display to a file

t = trim

z = reset separation to zero

h = display this help screen
